Independent hardware supplier Total Hardware has just added the new Yale SlotVent trickle vent to its portfolio. Chris Pell, General Manager at Total Hardware, says: “With the introduction of the revised Part F of Building Regulations last year, there has been increased demand for trickle vents. As one of Yale’s largest hardware distributors and suppliers of one of the biggest portfolios of Yale products, it was only natural that we would add the SlotVent to our portfolio to support our customers in meeting the new regulations.”
The Yale SlotVent allows an appropriate amount of air to pass through the window, helping to remove stale air and reduce condensation and mould, as well as enabling people in cities or near busy roads to benefit from ventilation without having to open their windows.

The internal vent is Yale-branded to give consumers visual reassurance of the quality of the vent. It can be tilted to 30, 60 or 90 degrees according to ventilation requirements and the range includes options with and without a foam gasket that reduces noise and draughts.
The external hood provides ventilation whilst preventing water from entering the home. And for installations where an external hood might hamper the opening of the window, there’s an optional flyscreen that’s typically fitted in an overframe profile section or through the head of the window.
The SlotVent is available in 12 colours, which can be mixed and matched to suit the aesthetics of the window.
The Yale SlotVent has been designed and tested to comply with The Building Regulations England and Wales requirement F – Means of Ventilation and the Scottish Building Regulations Standard 3.14.
